The taste of Wielewaal

'The taste of Wielewaal' is a product line with ingredients from the Wielewaal. 

A positive statement by the community to show how fertile and valuable the Wielewaal is.

During a period of 3 months several people from the Wielewaal produced jams, chutneys and cremes with ingredients from the neighborhood.

Invisible Architecture by Janneke van der Putten and Christian Galarreta

 

 

 

Invisible Architecture in de Maastunnel is in september 2015 aangevangen met een geconcentreerd onderzoek naar de akoestische eigenschappen van dit monument, door middel van performatieve interventies, luistersessies (ook geblinddoekt), geluidswandelingen, rondleidingen, workshop, ontmoetingen en interviews, archief materiaal, geluid-, foto- en video opnames. 

Christian Galarreta en Janneke van der Putten hebben in nauwe samenwerking met de beheerders, concierge en beveiliging van de Maastunnel verschillende (in de regel ontoegankelijke) ruimtes mogen observeren en documenteren. Met het oog op een komende langdurige restauratie van het gebouw is dit project een reflectie op dit historische monument.

De workshop op locatie vond plaats op Open Monumentendag, 12 september. Het was een zeer intensieve ervaring van zes uur samen met de zes deelnemers. In de bijlage is een referentie gevoegd, geschreven door één van de deelnemers. Dankzij de hulp van vrijwilligers op Wolfart Project Space kon de workshop in deze ruimte worden geïntroduceerd en afgerond. 

Het project en de workshop zijn op video vastgelegd door Mihail Bakalov, en in geluid door Christian Galarreta en Janneke van der Putten. De flyer is door Janneke van der Putten ontworpen en in een editie van 300 prints uitgegeven. Het is op locatie aangeboden gedurende de werkzaamheden in september en communiceerde het werk naar de passanten toe, behalve mondelinge dialogen met geïnteresseerden. Het project is tevens via het interne netwerk van de Gemeente aan 10 000 ambtenaren bekend gemaakt. Zie beneden dit bericht online links die ter communicatie dienden.

In de lente 2016 zullen de resultaten van het project gepresenteerd worden. Het Mya-fund heeft samen met Gemeente Rotterdam dit proces gesteund en mogelijk gemaakt.

REPORT 'Sculptures by Houses' by Elise Guihard

From August 17 to 21, Elise Guihard dropped off sculptures in the streets of Charlois. 

The sculptures are connected to a special website: http://sculpturesforhouses.hotglue.me. Finders can post pictures of the new place of the found sculptures on this website. Enjoying the arrival of photographer Estelle Chaigne, others projects with photography and sculpture will be done in the streets.

REPORT will show all these actions that were carried out during this week. REPORT is a part of the overall project of Elise Guihard, "SCULPTURES FOR HOUSES" : several ways to get - indirectly or directly - in touch with inhabitants of Charlois and make sculptures in their home.
